Rydev Strengthens Its Commitment to the Costa Rican Semiconductor Ecosystem

Rydev remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering Costa Rica’s semiconductor supply chain. In alignment with this goal, our COO, Dr. Ronny García Ramírez, has been actively participating in initiatives led by the U.S. Department of State’s International Technology Security and Innovation Fund. These efforts aim to enhance Costa Rica’s capabilities in integrated circuit (IC) assembly, testing, and packaging.

As part of these initiatives, Dr. García attended the In-Country Workshop for the Semiconductor Faculty Certification (SFC) this past November 2024, focused on evaluating the current training and research infrastructure within Costa Rica’s leading electronics engineering programs. During the event, he shared valuable insights on innovative undergraduate and graduate curricula. He also engaged in discussions alongside representatives from academia—including Tecnológico de Costa Rica and Arizona State University—and industry leaders like Teradyne and RD Altanova.

At Rydev, we firmly believe that fostering collaboration between academia and industry is the key to positioning Costa Rica as a significant player in the global semiconductor sector.
