We are proud to announce that our colleagues Ronny García-Ramírez, Renato Rímolo-Donadio, and Alfonso Chacón-Rodríguez, together with Iran Medina-Aguilar from the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, have published a peer-reviewed article in Electronics (MDPI).
The paper, titled “Efficient Implementation of a Balanced Dynamic TDMA Arbitration Scheme for System-on-Chip Buses” Electronics 2025, 14(17), 3531, introduces a novel selectable–sequence–counter arbitration circuit for dynamic TDMA bus architectures.
Unlike most dTDMA studies that focus on wireless communications, this research directly targets digital bus systems, addressing key challenges in performance, scalability, and efficiency. The proposed architecture, evaluated on a 65 nm CMOS process, demonstrates:
Reduced area and power consumption compared to conventional approaches.
Scalable performance, with linear growth in resources as connected devices increase.
A practical solution for on-chip communication in advanced SoC designs.
This achievement reflects Rydev’s ongoing commitment to advancing semiconductor research and bridging academic innovation with industrial application. We congratulate our team for contributing cutting-edge solutions to the global microelectronics community.
