Two of our senior IC verification specialists, Kaleb Alfaro and David Solórzano, participated in DVCON Europe 2024 on October 15 and 16.
“It was a great opportunity to learn from leaders in the field about their vision of the semiconductor industry and the challenges ahead,” explained David. “This year’s keynote talks focused on the automotive industry and artificial intelligence, with both topics highlighting the importance of having flexible methodologies that allow reducing time to market. I managed to participate in several of the talks and tutorials offered, where I learned about the latest innovations in EDA tools and new techniques proposed for solving verification challenges. Personally, I highlight the talks about the proposed methodologies for the verification of multi-die systems and RISC V processors, as well as interesting methods for the management and synchronization of verification sequences. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this prestigious conference, connecting with outstanding professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds and exchanging valuable experiences in the field.”
“For me,” says Kaleb, “it was great to be able to participate in such a high-level conference. We learned from common verification practices in the semiconductor industry in Europe, particularly the automotive and mission-critical areas. We too noticed the increase in efforts to explore the design space of digital systems by cycle-accurate models in SystemC and the popularization of techniques such as formal verification. There were more than 300 registrations for the conference and we hope to have some expositions and papers from Rydev in following meetings,” he concluded.
